Handwriting sheets for each letter of the alphabet.
Use these handwriting sheets to help your students learn the structure and process of handwriting.
Students are required to trace over the letters and words and then write them again on the lines below. They need to try to keep their letters between the lines provided.
When we write on dotted thirds our letters all sit on the bottom solid line, tall letters go to the 2nd dotted third, small letters to the first dotted third and tails go below the solid line to to dotted third below. Do you have any handwriting resources that use this format?
Hi Donna, Yes! Many of our handwriting resources have Victorian versions that use dotted thirds in the way you have described. Use the drop-down menu to select a VIC version and then click download. Alternatively, you can create your own handwriting pages using the Handwriting Sheet widget. https://www.teachstarter.com/au/widget/handwriting-sheet/
Hello, do you know if there is a blank handwriting sheet similar to this that we can print to add along to this resource?
Hi Jeremy, I'd suggest using our https://www.teachstarter.com/au/widget/handwriting-sheet/. You can leave the Content field blank and choose the correct font lines that are used by your school. The widget will generate a PDF that is laid out just like this resource. If you need any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us!
can this be in a power point

Please could you do these sheets be produced using the solid line as the base as that's the way we do it in WA.
Hi Sian, thank you for your suggestion. Perhaps that might work for some people.
Hi Tracey I am also a WA teacher. I watched the video in the green link below. Then used the widget to make my own handwriting sheet. After lots of attempts, I found that making ONLY the 3rd line solid and the rest dotted, the letters will sit on the solid line. I hope this makes sense.
Hi Tracey, Thank you for your comment! So we can keep all of our suggestions and requests together, can you please submit a change request to this resource using the Changes & Updates tab above? This tab can be found near the comments section. Thanks again!
