A classroom display to help students distinguish between pictures, letters, words and sentences.
Understanding the difference between pictures, letters, words and sentences is fundamental to a child’s early literacy development.
The components included in this resource will enable you to create your own classroom display of pictures, letters, words and sentences, allowing your students to identify the key differences between these print concepts.
To create this display:
- Print the components on thick card for increased durability.
- Arrange the title cards on your wall or corkboard.
- Under each title, display the corresponding cards. (Note: You can choose how many of each you would like to display at any one time.)
The resource includes:
- 16 picture cards
- 26 letter cards
- 16 word cards
- 8 sentence cards.
