A worksheet for students to practice identifying a claim and supporting evidence in an argumentative text.
Use this resource when teaching students about argumentative text.
Students will read two pieces of text, circling the claim and underlining each reason or evidence that supports the claim. Then for each text, the students will rate the effectiveness of the claim from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent), and explain their rating.
